Whether or not Hungary is your ancestral homeland, it is a delightful place to visit. A visit to the old country can give you a glimpse into your past as well as a perspective on your future. Come along with us as we explore the architecture of the region and learn about the history of the towns and villages along our path.

Our itinerary includes folk artisans, folk music, delicious meals, local wines and pálinka, as well as some time to explore a medieval castle and a church or two. We always include a little time in Budapest, but our main goal is to help you discover the beauty and simplicity of the countryside.

We do a lot of walking, so it is always good to commit to getting in better shape before you take one of our tours. Honestly, you will enjoy yourself more if you have built up a extra little stamina for our activities!

You do not need to speak Hungarian, but you will get some chances to practice if you do! Our English speaking guide is with us during the entire tour.

Do you want to extend your trip to include a visit to a particular village or two? We are happy to help make those arrangements for you! We can hire a guide who is fluent in Hungarian and English to take you where you want to go so you can start digging into your family history. Maybe you will even find a relative or two! You never know!
