Come with us in 2025!

We’re busy planning….

Liz and Andrea

Andrea and I have created our upcoming tours for 2025.

Come. See for yourself!

If you have met Andrea you know she is a lot of fun and pours her heart and soul into every tour! And, if we are lucky, she is even our tour guide! With over 30 years experience in tourism, Andrea knows her way around and we benefit from her knowledge and experience!

Even though I have been to Hungary and Transylvania multiple times, I am always learning something new. And it is delightful to work with Andrea. So if you wonder why we are laughing in this photo, it is because we are having fun together as we plan!

Travel with us!

Our tours include a wide variety of experiences. We mainly explore the countryside of Hungary — and learn more about how our ancestors lived. We visit a variety of small, family businesses rooted in Hungarian traditions. Each year we visit different areas of Hungary and share with you special regional experiences. Folk artisans and traditional foods and cooking experiences are always a part of our tours. But we also include a medieval castle, a palace, or mansion, folk traditions, and so much more!

Join us for one or both of our upcoming tours:

May 9 – 18, 2025  — Western Hungary and Slovakia

This tour will begin and end in Budapest, Hungary.

We’ll spend 10 days exploring Western Hungary and Slovakia and learn about the art and architecture of this beautiful region. Our days will be a blend of planned activities and free time so you can wander and explore and do a little shopping or enjoy a pastry and coffee or a massage. We have a full time tour guide with us on the bus so you can get recommendations for your free time or take it upon yourself to explore. We will pick you up at the Budapest airport when you arrive and take you back there for your departing flight.

October 1 – 12, 2025 Transylvania (Romania)

This tour will begin and end in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

We’ll spend 12 days learning all about the beauty of Transylvania. This large territory is now located in Romania but was previous a part of the Kingdom of Hungary. Those who live in the region are passionate about keeping their Hungarian language and heritage alive. We will enjoy planned excursions as well as some free time. We will pick you up at the Cluj-Napoca airport when you arrive and take you back there for your departing flight.

Email [email protected] for the information sheet and registration form for the tour you are interested in. Want to add in an excursion to your ancestral village? We can discuss that, too!
