U.S. Bakeries with Hungarian-style Pastries

We think homemade traditional desserts using Nagymama’s recipes are the best but we realize not everyone has the skills or the recipes or the patience to create wonderful Hungarian-style desserts so we are compiling some resources for you to use and share. Please let us know if there are bakeries we are missing from this list. Not every business listed here has a website or even an email address so you might have to put some effort into your hunt but you often get to talk to the owner and learn about the business and make a new friend in the process.

If you know a little place that serves great Hungarian/Transylvanian style desserts, please share the information with us. We would like this list as complete as possible and we encourage you to support these treasures! We cannot vouch for them all so that is a part of the adventure you get to have! If you contact the businesses on this list, please tell them that we sent you. We do not profit from gathering and sharing this information — we see it as an important public service!
