WHAT ARE YOUR SUMMER PLANS?

If you study at the University of Pittsburgh, this is something you should look into! The Hungarian Room Committee has Summer Study Abroad Scholarships Available to study in Hungary for 2019!

The Nationality Rooms Program has awarded annual scholarships for summer study abroad to all parts of the world since 1948. The purpose of the awards is to give University of Pittsburgh students the opportunity to experience in-depth immersion in another culture.

The Hungarian Room Committee is offering the following scholarships for summer study abroad in Hungary:

  • One graduate award ($4,000) in memory of Stephen Novak
  • One undergraduate award ($4,000) in memory of Rev. Imre Bertalan

Scholarship applications for undergraduates are due Tuesday January 8, 2019 and for graduate students Thursday January 17, 2019.

If you live near the Pittsburgh metro area, please visit the Hungarian Room located on the main floor of the Cathedral of Learning. The Hungarian Room was dedicated in 1939 and features many folk motifs and beautiful stained glass windows. Also, please consider supporting the Hungarian Room by donating here.
